My name is Crystal Wilson. I am a Tax Strategist, Entrepreneur, Nationally Syndicated Radio Host, and Mother. My life has been shaped by responsibility, resilience, and purpose. I did not inherit wealth or a roadmap. I built clarity from chaos and structure from survival, and I have committed my life’s work to helping others protect what matters and build what lasts.

I grew up between Durham and Hillsborough, North Carolina, and learned early that no one was coming to save me. I became independent young and started earning my own money in middle school selling candy. By high school I was going door-to-door selling Avon. That experience taught me that discipline creates opportunity and that entrepreneurship is built long before it is registered. I always knew I would one day build something of my own.

My introduction to taxes came the same way it does for most people, out of need. My parents were breaking up when I filed my first tax return. I trusted a family friend’s accountant to help me, and he charged me sixty dollars for a return he completed in fifteen minutes. There was no explanation, no education, and no integrity in the process. I walked away from that moment feeling taken advantage of, and I made a decision. I would never be financially uninformed again. I taught myself taxes. I took tax courses and started doing returns at kitchen tables for friends and family before it ever became a business. I learned that people do not fear taxes. They fear the confusion and lack of guidance that often comes with them.

In 2015 my life changed when my mother, Dorothy, passed away from breast cancer. She had a trust but it was not funded properly. Legally I was meant to handle her affairs, but I was denied access and decision authority. I had to watch her assets disappear in months. Her retirement was gone in three months, her home was lost, and her vehicles were repossessed. Ten years later, my stepfather died with nothing. That experience showed me the truth most families do not learn until it is too late. Paperwork alone does not build legacy. Strategy does.

After losing my mother, I left my job in manufacturing after eleven years and officially launched Crystal Clear Tax. My mission was to bring clarity to a system that often confuses people. I wanted to build a tax firm that would educate, not exploit. I started small, building quietly and intentionally. Eventually, I returned to corporate while raising my children as a single mother. It was not retreat. It was strategy. I used corporate income to stabilize my household while continuing to grow my business. I never stopped building.

Even as I advanced into six-figure leadership roles in financial risk and business control, my purpose remained the same. I worked by day and built by night. I was an entrepreneur before the title belonged to me. In time, tax preparation grew into tax strategy, and I began helping entrepreneurs structure their businesses, reduce tax liability, and operate legally and intelligently. My work expanded from compliance to strategic planning.

In October 2023, I suffered a fall that left me injured and facing a difficult workers compensation process. The physical recovery was slow, but the mental fight was harder. That season forced me to confront my truth. I had already built the foundation of a business that changed lives. Now I had to decide whether I would fully step into it. Around that time, I experienced a spiritual turning point that restored my alignment with Jehovah and sharpened my purpose. I made permanent changes to my habits, my mindset, and my leadership. When I was laid off from my corporate role in 2024, I did not break. I committed. I stepped fully into the assignment I had been preparing for my entire life.

Today I lead Crystal Clear Tax as a boutique tax strategy and advisory firm that provides clarity, structure, and financial direction for entrepreneurs, families, and business owners. I expanded my work into estate planning after witnessing firsthand the cost of poor planning. I now help families protect assets, prepare properly, and pass down wealth intelligently through Crystal Clear Estate Planning. I created the Accountique Tax Strategy and Wealth System to integrate tax planning with long-term wealth. I also founded The Wealth Strategy Circle, a financial education and strategy community designed to help people move from reaction to structure and long-term financial power.

I am also the creator and host of Clearing the Path to Success, a nationally syndicated radio show on WDRB Media, where I teach tax strategy, business structure, insurance awareness, and legacy planning to listeners across the country. My work is driven by the belief that clarity is power and financial literacy is not optional. I am committed to making sure no family is left unprepared the way mine once was.

My story is not about perfection. It is about responsibility, resilience, and purpose. I have lived through loss, rebuilding, and starting over—not once but multiple times. I have built while being a mother, a caregiver, and a provider. I know what pressure feels like. I know what faith requires. I know what strategy can change. My purpose is to clear the path to success so others can build lives, businesses, and legacies they can be proud of.
