Founder
Tyler Balas is a former firefighter-paramedic, entrepreneur, and advocate for mental resilience and purpose after adversity. After surviving a traumatic brain injury in 2010, Tyler went on to build a career serving nearly a decade in a large metropolitan fire department, ultimately finishing his career in special operations. Like many first responders, he faced the invisible weight of the job—experiencing firsthand the impact of trauma, stress, and PTSD.
Today, Tyler channels those experiences into building solutions and community. He is the founder of Hope’s House, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the mental health of first responders and their families, and he operates multiple ventures centered around wellness, education, and agriculture.
Through his work, Tyler focuses on helping others navigate life’s hardest moments by reframing adversity, building resilience, and creating purpose from pain. His story is one of survival, service, and the belief that our greatest challenges can become the foundation for helping others.
